My youngest kids are now juniors and seniors in high school. But back in the day, I was exposed to certain kids’ shows over and over and over to the point that I will likely be singing stuff like the “Dora the Explorer” theme when I’m in the memory care wing of the nursing home. So when I see this picture, I can’t help but to sing, “They’re 2, they’re 4, they’re 6, they’re 8. Shunting trucks and hauling freight…” It makes me remember when they were little. Now I’m exposed to filling out FAFSA forms, being teased for my cluelessness about Gen Z culture and memes, trying to ensure there are no pregnancies, and just generally being an Uber driver, driving instructor, and ATM machine.
Anyway, this should be on the easy end of things, which mine generally are, but hopefully entertaining with at least a couple of chuckles. Thanks to Norah Sharpe for test solving this week. I’ll see you back here soon.
