This past weekend, I had the amazing experience of getting together with DC area crossword constructors. This group of humans was everything I have come to expect from puzzle people. And there was a bonus appearance by one of my test solvers saviors, Matt Gritzmacher, who happened to be in town (he’s 5th from left; I’m 3rd from right). If you’ve never been to a puzzle tournament or found a way to just hang out with puzzle folks, I promise you will not regret making the effort.

Beautiful as always, Trent — and gently packed with learning moments for me, which I consider a bonus because you construct and clue so fairly! For instance, I didn’t know 9D founded Mercury. I had a great time with this…thank you so much!
